I’m going to admit it right now: I HATE Amelia Bedelia & am going to donate our copy back to the thrift store. We’ve read several of them & I just don’t understand why they get so much love. The kiddo has no idea what phrases like “dress the chicken” and “draw the drapes” mean, so I spend lots of time having to explain why it’s supposed to be funny.
